Budapest Novice Tour

The tour
The Budapest Novice Tour is THE tour for those of you who want to learn how to drive a scooter and visit the beautiful city of Budapest. In the Budapest Novice Tour we pay special attention to your needs and make sure you feel confident about driving a scooter before we go into the city.

The Tour starts with both feet still firmly on the ground. We will help you select the appropriate helmet, check your intercom is working and introduce you to the driving rules and regulations in Hungary. After that we are ready to go! Each guest will be individually instructed on the use of the scooters and we make sure you head out in the right way. The area around the Ráday street is pretty quiet for downtown Budapest so it is an ideal place to try out the bikes. We can make as many practise rounds as you need. This tour is not about speed, but all about learning how to drive and enjoying the scooter.

Passing the Clark roundabout at the Chain bridge we drive to the main sights in Buda; the Buda castle and Buda hill. On Buda hill, at the Royal Palace, we make a longer stop and walk around the magnificent buildings that were once the court of the Austro-Hungarian Kings.

We will also see the palace of the Hungarian president, the funicular and the King Matthias fountain. Your tourguide will tell you all about the history of the area and the present developments. If you are lucky we might even see the changing of the guards or a movieshoot.

As soon as you master your scooter we take you to the streets and go towards Buda. Passing the main market hall and the Liberty bridge we go uphill towards the Citadella. Driving uphill is the ideal way to master your cornering and the gas handling of your scooter. By the time we get to the top you will feel more and more confident.

An added bonus is the magnificent view of the entire city. Your tourguide will explain you all about the history of Hungary and Budapest while you actually look at it! Ofcourse there is also some time to walk around and take pictures. From the Citadella we drive downhill towards the Buda Stairs. A newly renovated stair system leading up to Buda hill.

Continuing our route we visit the Mátyas Church and the Fishermans Bastion for a truly great view of the Hungarian Parliament on the other side of the river. We then take our scooters downhill to the Chain Bridge and over the Chain Bridge towards Pest.

Depending our how well you have mastered the scooters and how much time is left we can make a stop at the Parliament building and the momument of the shoes next to the river or drive past the Vigado theater over the Belgrade road back towards the store.
